Eyeko Mascara Review

In short, I am in love with this mascara! (more than Benefit They're Real)

(the guitar pick is a 'shield' that can be held behind our lashes to prevent smudging on our lids during application)

When I first applied, I noticed that it has a watery consistency and need to be properly dried off before I bat my eyelashes. Then after a few times, I also noticed that the EASIEST and FASTEST way to remove it is with water. You splash some water onto your eyelashes and run your fingers over them. It will come off within seconds.

So, only then that I checked the ingredients and it turns out that water IS the first one mentioned in the ingredient list. It is NOT smudgy at all even after 8 hours of wear in warm weather. Benefit They're Real will leave a smudge mark on the corner of my lower lash line after a few hours, in chilly temperature.

As you can see, the mascara defines my lashes and is perfect for day to day wear. I had to give my eyelash a really good curl prior to applying the mascara because it will hold those curls down a bit.

The Eyeko Skinny Brush mascara retails at $19 for 0.29 oz while Benefit They're Real is at $22 at 0.3 oz. I would choose Eyeko over Benefit for an everyday use and it is currently my favorite.

*UPDATE*
after a week of using the mascara, the formula becomes less wet and actually holds the curls much better.

xoxo
