Caudelie beauty elixir

I sprayed it on my palms and pat it on my face as a toner before moisturizer. It smells sooo goood, like the spa! Since this tiny bottle is $16, I only use it on days that I want to pamper my skin.

MAC Force of Love lipglass

Although I got this in March, I have only started to fall in love with it in April. I put it on my lips and use my fingers to blend it out, and it looks amazing! A natural pink that is beautiful to wear on its own or on top of a nudish lipstick.

YSL Faux-cils Shocking mascara

I received a sample size of this mascara as a 100-point Beauty Insider gift. It really gives volume to my eyelashes!

Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer

My new favorite concealer for under eyes! Doesn't crease, doesn't settle into fine lines, and doesn't dry out my skin. Sometimes I just put this concealer and some lip balm, curl my lashes, and I'm out the door!

2012 Baby Uke

My 2011 baby was the Fujifilm instax polaroid camera. This year it's the second cheapest Ukulele at Guitar Center, Nashville. (the cheapest one was sold out!)

My ukulele (also abbreviated as uke) is a soprano one which is the smallest version. I don't have any experience in string instruments before. I was just checking the ukes out at the Guitar Center (while temaning Shah) and I just fell in love! The strings are softer than the guitar's and ukes are soooooo cute!

So it's been 3 days, and so far I have taught myself these songs:

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

Most inexpensive item that I have and I use is Maybelline Baby Lips which was around $3.

The most expensive one is my Tarte for True Blood Palette which was around $50 when it first came out. Another one would be the Lancome Genefique eye cream ($60) but I got at around $40 at Beyondtherack.com.

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

Love/hate relationship: Urban Decay Primer Potion because sometimes it doesn't work and my eyeshadow creases and sometimes it stays perfect! So I can't say if the primer is a 100% effective or not.

The hardest one to get was Revlon Lip Butters. I remembered going to almost all the drugstores around the Nashville area with Reny to find them. ughhh. but now they are everywhere!

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?

EOS lemon flavored lip balm! I would lick them off my lips within minutes!

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?

Foundation primers. I would only wear them for really important events where I want my makeup to look really nice. Not on a daily basis.

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

I have to say lip balm since my lips are always dry and chapped! Even if I put on a full perfect makeup but I didn't have my lip balm on (alone or under my lipstick), it's not going to be a good day for me.

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

I like guys who are confident. You can see their confidence from their posture, body language, aside from the way they walk and talk. Usually this confidence came from excellent academic, athletic, and extra curricular backgrounds - not that it really matters to me but yeah. I also like guys with a well built, healthy body. I don't like lanky guys. then, I like family oriented guys that love and appreciate their parents, siblings, atuk nenek sume.

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

Makeup from expensive brands! like Chanel, Dior, YSL, Burberry and such. Eyeshadow palettes make excellent gifts too. I rarely spend money on palettes and luxury brands so it would be fantastic if I get it as a present!

The View From..the Present Me

When I was taking pics for my makeup collection post, I realized that I owned a few high end products way before I deserved them, before I learned to appreciate the money spent on such brands.

As I mentioned, I started last spring, or at the end of last April to be precise. It was around Spring '11 final exam week that I started to feel like I need to put on mascara and concealer (due to late night to no sleep studying). It was then that I bought my Coastal Scents eyeshadow palette to experiment. It was then that I like putting on makeup on my face (well I used to love playing makeups with my sister when I was 6, but then my sister entered a phase where she constantly felt annoyed with her little sister, LOL)

However, I don't know what got me into buying these stuff when I was in high school/freshmen year even though I didn't wear any makeups back then. So, here are the products that I don't think I deserved when I was getting them:

MUFE Translucent Powder

This was way before MUFE came out with the microfinish HD powder. Bought it in 2008 I think? had not use it in a while but recently fell in love with it again and am using it everyday!

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

Bought in mid 2009. Repurchase in June 2011. Not using it anymore.

Benefit Posie Tint

Bought in mid 2010. Didn't use it anymore, gave it to Reny.

Benefit Gilded Tangerine Gold Highlighter

Bought in mid 2010. Rarely used it. Kept in eyeshadow stash.

Lancome Juicy Tubes

Bought in 2009. Not using it anymore but still keeping it. haha

Lancome Hypnose Custom Volume Mascara

Bought in 2010. Successfully used up the whole tube.

Lancome Eyebrow Pencil

Bought in 2010. Still using it although lately I have been reaching for my Clinique one instead.

Even though people say it's not safe to used old makeups, I still use them if I see that they are still normal and don't turn bad. You can look at the colors, and smell them too (especially mascaras!) if you want to make sure.

Kate Spade Pop Art Pink SUPERCALIFRAGILIPSTICK

I heard of the lipstick in one of the videos by Pixiwoo or Pixi2woo, either one I'm not sure. I couldn't find any on the Kate Spade website then, I guess they were sold out? But I checked the website again last weekend and there were two colors restocked! The price was only $24 and you get 15% off if you subscribe to their mailing list for the first time.

I'm sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, I only used my Iphone camera. The color is a little bit brighter in real life and is more of a reddish pink rather than the classic pinky pink.
