Loves: Jo Malone's English Pear

Okay, since lama jugak x post anything, I've decided to write about my new favorite scent: the Jo Malone English Pear cologne.

Smells soo nicee and sweet but not too fruity, not too floral. Reviews ada kata yg certain people, this cologne bau more like roses. On me, smells more like pears? I don't know but the scent makes me feel prettier. hahaha maybe sebab Bella once told me that, "weh ko bau Sephora" when I was wearing this. No, it does not smell like a Sephora store (bukan macam A&F kedai die ade bau sendiri) but I think Bella meant that I smelled like a beauty store = feeling pretty. hahah

Another interesting fact about Jo Malone colognes are they can be combined with each other. They are meant to. Like one of everyone's favorite is the English Pear layered with the Nectarine Blossom & Honey (which it alone smells like watermelons). Combination die light, airy, and subtly sweet. Kalo nak ade kick sikit boleh layered ngan yg bau kuat skit or manly skit (ie, Black Vetyver Cafe, or Lime Basil). Soooooo haaa nnt dh kawin beli satu utk kite, satu utk laki. pastu kan senang save tu combine je ngan suami punye. hahaha ke depan nye ak pk. Nanti die akan bagi satu pamphlet of suggested layering combinations. But we're open to experiment on our own.

Retailing at $60 for 1oz, I feel like agak mahal. maybe sebab I rarely buy perfumes so not really sure how their pricing works. tapi memang tak la nk beli 2 colognes to be layered together sekali kan. mayb one scent boleh beli in their soap form ($15) or in shower gel form ($50). but for now, I got tons of samples of the other scents so boleh experiment sdiri. tp slalu rushing pon nk g kelas x sempat nk experiment pape -.-

I've googled and gayanya mcm not sold in Malaysia. Singapore ada la. So, I do hope that by the time I graduate, Jo Malone dh enter Msia. senang nak pau mak hehe

Common Etiquette/Sense

A few common etiquette that we should keep in mind.

1. You don't come to someone's room/house past midnight without notifying them prior to your visit.
2. You don't stay at someone's house for an event, not helping with the preparations, and go out shopping instead.
3. You don't stay at someone's house and not offering any help when the host is clearly busy with house errands.
4. You don't cancel your plan with someone at the very last minute and catching that person off guard, in public, regardless of how ridiculous the plan is.
5. You don't cancel your plan with someone without any regret or guilty tone in your speech.
6. You don't become a burden to someone (especially those who are not close to you) for free.

I believe that those who did not follow these etiquette were genuinely clueless. As you grow older, these stuff become common sense to you.

Healthy Yummy Quick-Fix

This is a recipe that I created myself and it is soooo good! It's very simple really. Tasty, and healthy toooo (see all the greeens??). I bought like a bunch of Spinach and Arugula salad at Walmart because I love arugulas. Since they don't sell arugula by itself, so I had to get the spinach too. Arugula, also known as rocket in Europe, have that peppery, a bit bitter taste to it. I fell in love with it when I had the heavenly lamb burger at Burger Up. then I fell in love even more when they serve it with the raw veal appetizer at Cabana. 

You need:

1 slice of honey wheat bread

1 slice of processed cheddar cheese

Spinach and arugula

1 cherry tomato (sliced to four parts)

some beef floss (serunding daging)

Just arrange everything on top of one another according to the ingredient list. Microwave it for 15 seconds. Voila! Sedapppp. two servings of these are NOT sufficient for sahur. So, it is more like a light snack. 

Surprisingly, the one thing that my sister and I have in common is the love for arugula. She had rocket pizza somewhere in Europe and she said it was amazing. So yeah even though we don't look anything like one another, we like the same herbs. lol

Dermaesthetics SPF 50 Sunscreen

New sunscreen from my old hair salon yg ade spa jugak. Non-greasy, no strong SPF smell, lightweight, and mattifying!

MUFE HD foundation

I know this is a medium-full coverage foundation but I sheered it out with a damp foundation brush. Sometimes I just used it as an under eye concealer. Regardless of the way I apply it, my skin seems to really love the foundation. No breakouts whatsoever in any weather! (not like the MUFE Face and Body, light coverage tapi broke me out). 

MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Lingering

Looks natural when I filled my brows with it. Not too strong.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Premice

LOVEd it, wore it almost everyday in the first month of getting it. But then my lips got dry because of the weather and I ended up wearing more lip balms. Nampak sgt pakai byk sb the lipstick in the tube dh jd pendek significantly.

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Rose

It gave a really nice stain to my lips so lepas makan ke apa color still ada. 

Eyeko Skinny Brush Mascara

This mascara in combination with the next eyeliner is awesome! I went to a waterpark basah2 semua but they did not budge AT ALL! No raccoon eyes/gothic-emo-chick-mekap-cair of the sorts.

Loreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Endless Pearl

A good matte all over base color lagi2 utk oily eyelids like mine yg tend to make my eyeshadows crease. Nice to be worn alone too as it brightens the eye area.

The US education system uses these scores distributions. The Points distributions depends on the education institute kot; Vandy punya macam ni. Sometimes ada prof yg akan curve so mayb die lowerkan A utk his class. Sometimes ada prof yg macam whatevs mampos kau. As you can see it is VERY different from the grading system in Malaysia. So, yeah.. at first was kind of intimidated jugak but when you see other people pulling it off, it is not impossible at all.

My First: Inglot

I bought this before I went back to Vandy actually. baru terigt nak masuk blog lols. I was at Sunway Pyramid and I saw the Inglot ad poster dkat escalator from the parking lot. As a youtube makeup videos addict, of course I know Inglot as the beauty gurus rant about it, cakap diorg bli kat IMATS whatsoever. So, I had to visit the store myself.

Service was very good. I was swatching the eyeshadows when I saw that we can build our own palette! Nak combine blushes, powder, eyeshadows ke apa sume boleh. So, I decided to make yg ada 3 eyeshadows. Here is the packaging:

The lid/cover is held by two small round magnets

All of their colors are numbered. I got a shimmery light pink, a matte greyish brown, and a bronzed gold color (all are of different finishes). The bronzed gold color is absolutely amazing. The texture is very velvety, buttery and soft. The matte brown is my go-to everyday natural crease color. Serious natural macam bayang2 je lolol. The shimmery pink one haven't pakai much since I always turn to my UD Sin.

I heard their lip glosses are quite nice too. The prices are not bad. I think around MAC's price if not cheaper.
