When we arrived, the tapai smell greeted us and the bar was already filled up with people. The area right in front of the stage were cleared so that more space was available for those who want to stand up. We sneaked our way in to the front and met some Vandy freshies.
The gig started off with Hey Penny. These guys were INSANE. The backup singers were dressed in 80-s outfit while the band itself were wearing futuristic-robotic outfits. Their performance was really hyper and alive and really kept the energy flowing. The best part? They did a cover of Beyonce-Single Ladies.
Then, the stage was emptied and a new set of instruments were set up. 20 minutes later, one by one, members of The Script came up. They kicked off their performance with Before The Worst and Talk You Down. During We Cry, Danny walked into the crowd and sang together with some lucky people. Since we were such a great audience (LOL!), again, Danny sang the first verse of The Man Who Cant Be Moved together with us before the whole band joined in. For the closing act, Danny got an Irish flag wrapped around him and as the song(couldn't remember which one) hit its chorus, he held up the flag and the word 'NASHVILLE' were written off at the top of the flag in black marker.
